Cyber Security Engineer

About the Role

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will help businesses by protecting their computer and networking systems from possible hackers and cyber-attacks. You will also safeguard sensitive data of a business from hackers and cyber-criminals who create new ways to infiltrate databases.

Requirements

  • A degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or related qualification.

  • At least 2 years experience with incident detection, incident response, and forensics.

  • Experience with Firewalls, Office 365 Security, VSX, and Endpoint Security.

  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, Ruby, Node, Go, and Power Shell.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • An analytical mind.

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills.

  • Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques.

Responsibilities

Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organization's data, systems, and networks.
Troubleshooting security and network problems.
Responding to all system and network security breaches.
Ensuring the organization's data and infrastructure are protected.
Participating in the change management process.
Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities.
Daily administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with relevant departments.
