Computer Security Specialist

About the Role

As a Computer Security Specialist, you will use your skills to prevent cyber attacks on corporate information systems. You will also implement and maintain security systems, respond to privacy breaches, and train staff on security protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years experience in cybersecurity.

  • Extensive knowledge of hardware and networking systems.

  • Familiarity with back-end programming languages.

  • Advanced knowledge of security frameworks and risk management.

  • Experience with implementing and maintain detection systems, firewalls, and prevention systems.

  • Outstanding analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of cryptographic and key infrastructure protocols.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assessing the status of company IT, network, and security systems.
Designing and implementing security networks and protocols.
Inspecting and upgrading hardware.
Upgrading security software on company systems.
Inspecting and testing the security of the network.
Running tests on upgraded systems.
Responding to security threats.
Drafting security policies and guidelines.
Training staff on security protocols.
