About the Role
As a Computer Assistant, you will provide technical support to customers across a wide range of hardware and software systems. You will also install new hardware and software, troubleshoot issues, and implement repairs and updates to computer systems.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification.
At least 1 year of experience in information technology.
A valid driver's license.
Capable of working on a variety of operating systems.
Sound knowledge of IT hardware.
Excellent understanding of software systems.
An ability to provide excellent customer service.
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
A willingness to travel, work after hours, and on weekends.
Responsibilities
Responding to customer requests and emergencies.
Monitoring computer systems for malfunctions.
Performing maintenance and updates on hardware and software systems.
Installing new hardware such as computers, servers, and other peripherals.
Installing and updating software such as MS Office, antivirus, and operating systems.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues.
Implementing repairs and updates based on diagnostic assessments.
Generating error, diagnostic, and repair reports.
Providing customers with training on the operation and maintenance of computer systems.
Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in hardware, software, protocols, and diagnostic techniques.
